Commerce is the cornerstone of the modern economy. It relates to the economic, political, legal, social, cultural and technological activities that impact on commercial interactions around the world. Students will also learn the fundamentals of economics and how the decisions of individuals, businesses and government influence the behavior of the economy.

There are various study areas that open up as many career opportunities as Commerce. Graduates in Commerce work all over the world. They work in banking, management, finance and insurance. They work for the government, major corporations and themselves. Graduates will be able to explore several career paths.

Examples of roles that graduates can pursue include operations manager for a small-to-medium enterprise, stockbroker for a national stock exchange, business analyst in a bank for consulting firm, economic advisor to a government minister, marketing consultant in a large corporation, self-employed financial advisor or analyst for a bank or financial institution.
